Intensive outdoors painting course. The student will have the best conditions to develop his artistic potential and enjoy the environment. This course offers a professional artist teacher, beautiful views, comfort and calm to capture the feelings of the time frame, and great weather (average temperature of 23 ºC all the year). Tuition in English and Spanish with a specific program of contents. The student can choose the medium to work with - oil, acrylic, watercolor, etc -.

- 6 NIGHTS LODGING IN AN OLD VILLA WITH SWIMMING POOL.

Simplification and massing Is the landscape painters most essential skill. Learning to translate the huge information from landscape into simplified compositions.
Composition Learn to limit the focus of what you want to represent to create simpler and stronger compositions depending on the hues.
Explore color and brightness Learn how a limited palette simplifies color mixing and helps achieve a unified light from relative values of contrast.
PROGRAM
DAY 1 ARRIVAL AND SETTLEMENT
DAY 2 PAINTING (9 to 13 h), LUNCH, PAINTING (up to 16 h), FREE AFTEROON (paint / leisure) Swimming pool, pathways near for walking (5 h painting- tuition).
DAY 3 FREE VISIT TO THE CAPITAL CITY OF THE ISLAND.
DAY 4 PAINTING+ GROUP TALK (9 to 13h), LUNCH, FREE AFTERNOON. (5 h paintin.- tuition).
DAY 5 PAINTING AT THE SEASIDE (9 to 13 h), FREE LUNCH, FREE AFTERNOON (paint / beach). (5 h painting- tuition).
DAY 6 FREE MORNING, LUNCH, SUNSET LIGHT PAINTING (14 to 18 h.), FAREWELL CANARY DINNER . (4 hours painting- tuition).

PLACES & EXCURSIONS
INLAND VILLAGE.
It is a charming village of white and stoned houses with a great palm grove, a beautiful church and surrounded by amazing mountains. The villa is located inside the village and by walking it is easy to find many corners to paint the houses and the nature. It is 28 kms far from the airport of Gran Canaria.
THE VILLA
A 1700 century restored mansion, includes two houses with capacity for 8 people. It is very comfortable, each one has a separate kitchen, living room with tv and music. Double room to share with bathroom. Possibility to have a private room paying a supplement. Companion without course at a reduced price.
From the terrace of the villa there are great views and motives to paint. Garden area of 350 m2 with swimming pool, meeting room and storage. There are some paths near to walk in the nature, take pictures, etc.
The restaurant is very close to the villa, 10 minutes walking. It has an amazing terrace where they serve good homemade food.
PLACES & EXCURSIONS
DAY 3 -LAS PALMAS DE GRAN CANARIA. It is the capital city of the island. On this free day, you can discover the old town, the cathedral, the house of Columbus, the picturesque neighbourhood of Vegueta and other museums. It is possible to visit the marina or go to the beach because the town is by the seaside. We will have our own bus to go and return. It is 50 kms far from the villa.
DAY 5- SEASIDE VILLAGE. It is a picturesque village located at the southwest of Gran Canaria called the canary Venice " due to the channels under the houses. The landscape offers a small sea fishing harbour with boats and it is full of charm in each corner. Also, it has a fine beach very near and the weather is so good that you may wish to have a bath before or after painting! We will go on our own bus, it is 55 kms far from the villa.
